  i've been dating a jw girl for about 4 years and we've recently had a lot of issues with the fact that her family doesn't like that i'm not a jw.

  i've been looking into the religion and am interested in it.

  but is it wrong to join just so i don't lose her?

  Daniel, would you like to join a group that will not give you a present at Xmas? And when you want to give them one they refuse it because its Satanic? Would you like to join a group that would forbid you to talk to your own children if they disagreed with the teachings of the group? (Assuming you are marriage minded). Would you join a group that believe that you should voluntarily die before taking a life saving blood transfusion? Would you join a group that expects you NEVER to miss attending their five meetings, (on 2 days) and looks at you as a weak person if you do? Would you join a group that would expect you to not associate with your own family because they are "worldly"? Lastly would you join a group that might tell your wife to leave you if you later decide that its all bullshit? and all this just for sex? Get it elsewhere.

  so, not long ago i've told you guys how one of my only two jw friends saw my comment against the borg and called me about it.

  well, the little fraker also called the elders to tell on me.

  i know i've been a huge idiot for posting a comment about jw's on facebook, but nonetheless i did it and what's happened, happened.. two idiot elders came all the way from the nearest congo, 30 miles away to talk to me about it.

  Isn't it telling that they will drive 30 miles to "investigate" you for unfaithfulness but wont drive even a few miles to visit a friend and do the things a friend needs help with? There is no power in simply helping others. Judging is where the action is! Buffoons.

  " (after 10 years) so i respond that the situation with pedophiles is out of hand.

  they tell me "we" elders have received tons of training on the subject, its not like it was 10 years ago.

  They started in on it being a "command" to attend meetings. I told them that if it were a "command" they would be having hundreds of committee meetings a month for all the people who don't attend. When they came down on me about it I answered it this way, "Jehovah knows my reasons." I told them my reasons as well. The whole Pedo thing etc. and then I said that Jehovah said, (James 2:13) . . ."For the one that does not practice mercy will have [his] judgment without mercy. Mercy exults triumphantly over judgment." Then I declared that I trust in Jehovah's mercy as far as my meeting attendance goes. They were thrown off by that and had no answer. I said its Christs sacrifice that will cover my sin if it is in fact a sin not to go." again no answer. Just have to know how to baffle them with their own BS. Again, when they left it was hugs all around. Silly rabbits.

  I had studied with one of the elders till he became a witness. The other was not an elder when I was. The third was a graduate from the missionary school for couples. I have no problem speaking with them. I know to use the FDS as my authority and not the Bible. I trump everything they say. I have no fear for these buffoons. Thanks for the advice. I didn't want to rock the boat but simply said, "well, that's good news." No new brochure yet but I imagine they think magic will happen next time when they bring it. I mentioned the new brochure and said I don't need to read it but they didn't follow my reasoning. How would you react if three elders showed up to encourage you? Asshat clowns.

  Accidental Posting of 2015 Release on JW.ORG

  a couple of weeks ago someone posted that jw.org accidentally posted the 2015 regional convention release.

  i can not fine the thread now.. i saw a picture of it yesterday.

  a sister had downloaded the pdf and read it that night.. it is a 16-page brochure entitled "return to jehovah", with a purple background.. it has been designed specifically for inactive ones are those who have been raised around the truth but never baptized.

  My sister's MS husband took a belt to her. I immediately went to an elder and told him and he said it was a private matter and he/they couldn't interfere. I called him "Chicken-shit" and left. Went inactive for a LONG time after that. I should have called the cops.
